.078″ Thickness versus oem thickness of .070″ to allow additional clearance after decking the cylinder head up to 2-3 times.

“86 mm size should only be used with the copper spacer to avoid clearance issues on the S50/52 motor.  We recommend purchasing the 87 mm gasket on S50/52 motors when using the gasket by itself.”

Description

This custom designed cut-ring gasket kit will allow for boost levels in the +30 psi range, without the additional hassle of having to machine your block for orings or to fit pyramid rings. Simply lay the hg down like a stock gasket, and then place the rings on the block.  When you lay the head down, the cutting grooves on the rings will cut into the head creating a tremendous seal.  The cutrings act as a barrier protecting the hg material from combustion and seal the vulnerable between the piston wall clearances notorious for blowing MLS head gaskets constantly.

The latest version of this hg designed by Athena and now imported by JE ProSeal includes newer style cutrings that have a triple groove cutting surface (vs. the older style we used to use with only 1 cut groove) for maximum sealing. This head gasket can support both M50/52 motors and S50/52 motors up to 87mm bore built motors, so please let us know what size you need.  Offered in oem thickness, but can also be paired with our custom designed copper spacer to lower compression to 9:1 on stock compression motors.

Does NOT damage cylinder head when cutrings cut into the head.  These grooves are very slight and are machined out during cylinder head re-decking… the same amount which would have to be re-decked for an MLS headgasket to seal properly with a flat surface.

We offer 3 cutring sizes… 85mm bore for M50/52 motors, 86mm bore for S50/52 motors to be used with our copper spacer only, and 87mm bore for S50/S52 motors. Please specify when placing order.
